Virtual final inspections are now approved by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA for the Certification of Completion (Form 1004D / Form 442), the same certification that used to require an in-person visit.
Because there's no need to schedule and wait for an in-person site visit, a virtual inspection can be completed and returned much faster than a traditional final inspection.
